My major interest is focused on three chief issues in the interplay between Endocrinology and Neurobiology. First, changes in the estrogen receptors with senescence, second changes with obesity and third the action of estrogen in the glucose homeostasis and apoptosis of cell in tissues subjected to hypoglycemic conditions.

Our major research interest is focused on two chief issues in the interplay between endocrinology and neurobiology. The projects are focussed on

1. the signaling pathway involved in the neuroprotection of estrogen on hypothalamic cells under hyglycemic conditions
2. effect of estrogen and leptin on the reproductive axis
