Expertise

I am a marine evolutionary ecologist. I have studied predator-prey interactions involving invasive crabs and native mussels and snails, trophic interactions between sea urchins and kelp, assisted with global seagrass monitoring (SeagrassNet). My current projects focus on estuarine nutrient extraction involving kelp aquaculture and sustainability of local oyster populations. My research Interests include: marine biology, evolution and ecology of marine organisms, biology of invasive species, predator-prey interactions, phenotypic plasticity, trait-mediated indirect interactions.
