Abstract
An idle video game in the style of Among Us, inspired by the mathematician John Conway's Game of Life, with an ASMR Lo-Fi soundtrack. Dr. John Conway passed away in April of 2020 with Covid-like symptoms.
Many of the characters used in the production of this video were drawn from the video game Spore, a video game which uses many advanced techniques, including procedural generation and Turing's equations for a reaction-diffusion system. Will Wright famously pointed to both Conway and Turing in various discussions of his video game Spore.
This game is resolved when all creatures end up trapped on the left side of the screen. Unfortunately, due to random numbers, there is no way of know when this will happen; this is what mathematicians call a simulation.
