Abstract
This research focuses on the analysis of osteological material from three cremation urns discovered in the Chios region, providing insights into the burial practices and cultural significance of cremation in antiquity. Through detailed examination of the contents of these urns, the study aims to contribute to the understanding of historical funeral customs and their implications on societal structures. The findings offer important implications for the field of bioarchaeology and enhance knowledge surrounding ancient populations in the Mediterranean.
