Abstract
Receptor-mediated endocytosis is a complex pathway which animal cells use to internalize macromolecules such as nutrient transporters and polypeptide hormones. The isolation and characterization of mutants with defects in endocytic pathways are providing new insights into the structure and function of cell surface receptors.
